About the Author
John Baker is the founder of Celebrate Recovery®, a ministry started at Saddleback Church. It is estimated that over the last 25 years more than 3.5 million people have gone through this Christ-centered recovery program. There are currently over 27,000 churches that have weekly Celebrate Recovery meetings. John has been on staff since Celebrate Recovery started. He has served as the Pastor of Membership, the Pastor of Ministries, and is currently the Pastor of Saddleback Church’s Signature Ministries. He is also serving as one of the nine Elder Pastors at Saddleback. John is a nationally known speaker and trainer in helping churches start Celebrate Recovery ministries. John’s writing accomplishments include Celebrate Recovery’s The Journey Begins Curriculum, Life’s Healing Choices, the Celebrate Recovery Study Bible (general editor), and The Landing and Celebration Place (coauthor). John’s newest books are Your First Step to Celebrate Recovery and The Celebrate Recovery Devotional (coauthor). John and his wife Cheryl, the cofounder of Celebrate Recovery, have been married for more than four decades and have served together in Celebrate Recovery since the beginning. I did this study with four ladies. We met once a week for nine months. It was life changing for us. It goes deeper than the first study, The Journey Begins. This study is for those who have been in Celebrate Recovery for some time and have done the first study at least once or twice. It was hard heart work, but so worth it. I would highly recommend this study and Celebrate Recovery.
I am using this as an extended part of CR. So far I have not been disappointed. Just completed lesson three. Not all the questions pertain to everyone and we are zeroing in on the questions that pertains to our group and what we need to do. Lesson one was dynamite.
Wonderful curriculum for anyone with Hurts, problems and addictions. Great help for those attending the meetings.
Really appreciate the Amazon driver leaving my printed materials in a water puddle. Too lazy to walk another 6 feet and put them in the nice, dry plastic bench where they would be kept clean.Too bad you can't complain about the drivers
Everyone has hurts, habits and hangups in life starting as a youngster, and it forms how we interact with others and even with God.
