Easy, great directions. Personally wish I got it in book form and not kindle. Already been to a few places. Yes, I have been telling my friends about this book and others!
I have purchased several of Craig Romano’s guidebooks. This particular book covers my hometown area of Bellingham and nearby Skagit County. I found it to have information about local trails that I wasn’t aware of. Makes it easy to find a trail close by even when you have limited time. It has been exhaustively researched and carefully written in order to parse the vital information for a good trail hike. Mr Romano writes in his always passionate, knowledgeable and succinct style. I also value the charts that compare the difficulty levels of the hike and make it easy to determine what the appropriate hikes are for a person's ability. It’s been said by another reviewer that this same, carefully curated information is on the internet, it isn’t it. Not in the way it’s written here. This book is so nice that I actually bought it twice. I have a kindle copy as well as a physical copy in order to allow me to travel light with it as a reference on my phone after I have planned a hike from home. Another great entry in the Urban Trails series!
After just moving to Bellingham after living in Skagit Valley, I have found this trail guide incredibly helpful. Thanks to Craig Romano's descriptions, I have discovered trails near my apartment that are easy to fit into my busy schedule and are also very pretty. I know I will continue to rely on this book heavily for more adventures to come.
Craig Romano does it again! Another informative, enjoyable hiking guidebook! Full of pertinent information and full-color photos, this book comes in a convenient, compact size. I enjoy how Craig's exuberant personality comes through in his detailed trail descriptions. A guide well worth space on your book shelf!
I live in Skagit and hike fro here to Whatcom but was surprised to learn about all the hikes I have yet to explore. Thank you Craig!
The trails in this book are quickly and easily found by use of a quick online Google search or use of one of the many free apps that exist. If you like to blow money at something that's not needed, be my guest. Otherwise the same public information exists online.
