This is by far my favorite book that best summarizes the issues. I love the pictures and I think it's great to pass along to friends and family without leaving them feeling over whelmed. I checked it out of the library and ended up purchasing it myself.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. There are so many people who are completely clueless about the foods they're purchasing at the food chains these days. Times have changed from the way our food was back in the day. They where REAL. What disturbs me with the media is that they are continueously advertising for us to buy these products that we think are REAL FOODS. Could it be that they are not aware? Or is it all about the $$$?
I watched the movie geneticroulette movie and saw this book advertised through nongmoshoppersguide.com so decided to see if I could get it on Amazon. I got the book 2 days after I ordered it. It is a very interesting book and I am glad I bought it. It tells all about genetic manufacturing of our food so I am more knowlegable about what I want and DO NOT want in my body. Everyone should read it.
Everyone should read this book and become informed of our food sources and the dangers of never being able to turn back from genetically engineered foods if BIG agriculture has their way. I have become more of an activist and am trying to educate my co-workers everyday!

Kimbrell makes issues surrounding industrial agriculture and GE accessible and educational- I found the book incredibly user-friendly. It is a great book to pick up and read while you wait for the water to boil- the short sections and educational inserts don't require large blocks of time. Your Right to Know also makes a great, educational coffee table book for families and foodies alike- it's full of informative pictures, interesting facts, and inspirational quotes. I especially love the chapter that goes through the supermarket aisle by aisle, telling you the pitfalls and rules of thumb for how to avoid GE foods. It even comes with a handy pull-out Pocket Shoppers' Guide that you can take with you when you go shopping as a reminder. This book is a must for anybody who cares about the food they eat!
